Concert featuring Moon/Cho

Continuing their legacy that had started from Temple University, U.S.A., Hyunok Moon and Hyunsoo Cho have been playing together as a piano duo for more than 20 years. In 1998, the duo gave their critically acclaimed debut at the FAME international music festival that was held in New Jersey. Hyunok Moon and Hyunsoo Cho have regularly performed as a professional duo piano team and are well known for their wide scope of extraordinary repertoire which ranges from traditional duo repertoire to contemporary modern pieces. The duo has collaborated with several orchestras in various concerts; Netherlands Royal Biltse Harmonie Korean Symphony Seoul Youth Philharmonic Orchestra.

The Duo also has been invited to perform at various prestigious events; 21stcentury top leaders concert (Invited by Munhwa Newspaper) Duo Concert (Invited by Kwangju Musicians Society) Incheon Teachers Association Duo Concert. In addition, as members of Bu Am Piano Society, Hyunok Moon and Hyunsoo Cho have performed at various concerts overseas including Germany, Netherlands, Switzerland, Romania, Japan, China, and Taiwan.
After achieving a Bachelor of Arts at Yonsei University in Seoul, Korea, Hyunok Moon went on to study her Master’s of Music degree and professional studies at the Manhattan School of Music. Later on, she successfully obtained a Doctor of Musical Art from Temple University in Pennsylvania.
Hyunsoo Cho graduated from Seoul National University with a Bachelor of Arts degree. She continued her studies and received a Masters of Music from Temple University and a Doctor of Musical Art from University of Minnesota. Hyunok Moon is currently a professor of piano at Chunnam University in Kwangju, Korea, while Hyunsoo Cho is teaching in Seoul as a professor of piano at Myongji University. Both of them are members of the Piano Ensemble, “Piano & Us.”
